Pentagram

LBTEK Objective Oil is designed for use with oil immersion microscope objectives. Due to the high magnification of oil immersion lenses, the first lens is small, and the light transmission is limited. When light passes through objects with different densities of media, some of the light refracts and scatters, leading to issues such as reduced light intensity, dimmed field of view, and unclear specimen observation. To solve this problem, a medium with a refractive index similar to that of the glass slide is added between the lens and the slide to compensate for the light loss. The refractive index of LBTEK objective oil is closest to that of LBTEK cover glass, and when used together, it maximizes the objective’s light-gathering ability.
